Responsibility for Scan4Safety to transition over to NHSX

As of 1st July, responsibility for Scan4Safety will transfer from the Department of Health and Social Care to NHSX ( – the new unit for digital data and standards which was announced by the Secretary of State in February.
This will ensure that it is closely aligned with the digital, data and technology progress being driven forward across the NHS. It passes to NHSX in a good position and as a proven model for improvement in the NHS.
The DHSC Scan4Safety team will not be retained beyond the end of April 2019.  A point of contact for Scan4Safety in NHSX will be made available in due course and the programme mailbox – – remains a central point of contact in the interim.
