New NHS Supply Chain procurement framework enables NHS trusts to strengthen point-of-care scanning capabilities
NHS Supply Chain has launched the first NHS procurement framework dedicated to supporting NHS organisations in selecting Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and Point of Care Scanning (PoCS) solutions. These capabilities represent an important Scan4Safety use case, helping organisations improve the capture and use of product, patient and procedural data at the point of care.
Developed with input from NHS trusts, clinical and procurement colleagues, system partners and suppliers, the framework provides a streamlined route for trusts to identify and procure solutions that support this specific Scan4Safety use case.
Point-of-care scanning is a key component of Scan4Safety; the NHS Supply Chain framework can help organisations establish foundations that support wider adoption of Scan4Safety principles and benefits across clinical, operational and supply chain workflows.
